Parent/Caregiver Google Classroom Learning Workshops

To assist parents/guardians in helping their child/children during this time of virtual  learning, the Glendale River Hills School District is offering this free workshop on these days/times:

Wednesday, September 2nd: 6:00-8:00pm

Thursday, September 3rd: 6:00-8:00pm

Additional workshops will be scheduled if needed.

In this workshop, participants will learn about:

Google Classroom, including:

• Logging in

• How to find and turn in assignments

• Finding and reading class announcements

• Communicating with the teacher

• Seeing grades on assignments (for 6th grade and up)

• etc. 

Zoom, including:
• Logging into the virtual meeting

• Raising your hand

• Reactions (e.g., thumbs up, clapping, etc.)

• Responding to polls

• Breakout rooms

• etc.

These workshops will be facilitated by Mark Scheiber, a retired former Director of Instruction for our school district. Mark Scheiber is an energetic presenter who engages his participants with demonstrations, real-life examples, and plenty of hands-on time with guidance to ensure that all leave with the knowledge and skills needed to support their child. He differentiates to meet the needs of all participants.
